A space to be heard, understood, and supported.

When someone we love is no longer beside us, they remain part of how we see the world. In the company of others, we can make room for both their absence and our own presence

The Heart of With You

Loss can change how we experience the world. Living in another country can make it harder to find people you can speak openly with about the person you miss.

With You brings together English-speaking women in Denmark who have lost a loved one. Through conversations, walks, and shared activities, we create opportunities to meet, build friendships, and make room for grief within everyday life.

There is no expectation to share your story. You can talk, listen, or join us. You don’t have to feel a certain way to belong.

You don’t have to find the right words to belong.

The Community I Once Needed

With You grew from that need — an English-speaking community in Denmark for women who have lost a loved one. A place to speak about the people we miss, share a quiet moment, take a walk, or talk over a cup of tea about whatever feels right that day.

I have completed training as an emotional support consultant. I bring that learning, my own experience, and a willingness to listen to our gatherings. My story is different from yours, so I want to leave room for your feelings, your words, and your own pace.

I am creating the community I once needed myself. My hope is that a first conversation will become a connection, and that, in time, there will be someone you can message to say, “Shall we go for a walk today?”

Building a life in another country means starting over—learning the language, going to work, and gradually finding your place. When someone you love dies, even the simplest parts of life can take more strength than you have that day.

I lost my child here in Denmark. I know what it means to return to work, learn another language, smile, and answer everyday questions when everything inside you has changed—while the world around you carries on as usual and you are learning how to live and get through each day.

I have lived in five countries, and my life spans different cultures. I have also written a book, but I know some experiences are difficult to put into words. Sometimes, what we need first is someone we can simply sit beside.

Our regular gatherings

Tea, Walks & Conversation

Create, Explore & Share

Unhurried gatherings over a cup of tea or a gentle walk. A chance to meet other women who have lost a loved one, share memories, or simply spend time together. There is no pressure to speak.

Creative workshops, museum visits, and moments of quiet reflection. Shared experiences that offer space for curiosity, connection, and everyday life alongside grief. Some activities will involve a cost, clearly shared before registration.

With You offers emotional support, conversation, and companionship. Our gatherings are not psychological counselling or psychotherapy.

Our First Gatherings Are Taking Shape

We’re planning our first gatherings for English-speaking women in Denmark who have lost a loved one. Dates and locations will be announced soon. Leave your email address to hear when registration opens.

Shared Moments, Meaningful Connections

From tea conversations and gentle walks to creative workshops, museum visits, and shared trips, our gatherings bring together women in Denmark who have lost a loved one. We make room for memories, new discoveries, and the simple pleasure of being together.

You’re Welcome to Write to Me

If you have a question about With You or would like to know more before joining a gathering, you’re welcome to get in touch. You don’t need to share your story to ask a question.

Share Your Experience, Support Our Community

Are you a psychologist, therapist, grief counsellor, or someone whose work could support women living with loss?

I warmly invite you to connect with With You. Whether you would like to share your knowledge, offer a workshop, join a conversation, or contribute your time, there is room to explore how we could work together.

Let’s create a caring space where women feel heard, supported, and less alone.
